Square tomette tile

The square tomette in terracotta is a handcrafted tile made from natural clays, dried and then fired at high temperature. These tomettes, red or pink in color depending on the clay used, bring unique warmth to indoor floors. Each square tomette stands out for its patina and raw look. This product, emblematic of old floors, fits as well into a traditional house as into a modern decor. In addition, discover our rectangular tomettes and hexagonal ones to vary the shapes and harmonize your floors.

The square terracotta tiles are ideal for creating a warm and authentic floor. Made of terracotta, they offer a natural look and excellent durability over time. Their red or sand shades match all decor styles. These tiles are perfect for living areas, kitchens or hallways. Their square format makes installation easier and allows for a regular effect. This product is also available in other formats: rectangular and hexagonal terracotta tiles, for a revisited traditional style.

Square terracotta tomettes are known for their robustness and timeless aesthetics. Thanks to their natural composition, these red tiles retain heat and provide pleasant comfort underfoot. Each tomette, handmade-molded, shows slight
variations in shade that make every floor unique. Easy to install, they suit different interior spaces. In addition to the square format, our ranges of rectangular and hexagonal tomettes make it possible to harmonize several rooms while keeping the charm of fired clay.

Installing square terracotta tomettes requires care and rigour. A clean, flat substrate must be prepared before laying the tiles. Use an adhesive suited to natural stone or a traditional mortar. The grout joints must be made with precision to guarantee the stability of the floor. Once laid, tomettes fired at high temperature can be protected with a water-repellent treatment to prevent stains. This method also applies to the rectangular and hexagonal tomettes available in our collection.

The price of a square tomette varies according to format, colour and origin. These handmade tomettes offer unrivalled quality and authenticity. Their value for money makes them an excellent choice for renovating old floors. Our rectangular and
hexagonal tomettes are similarly priced, allowing you to combine shapes according to your wishes and budget, while benefiting from fast delivery in France.

The maintenance of square tomettes is simple and natural. Clean them regularly with lukewarm water and mild soap, without harsh products. To protect the surface, a water-repellent or oil-repellent treatment is recommended after installation. This strengthens water resistance and makes cleaning easier. A special terracotta wax can be applied once a year to preserve the patina and the red colour. The same maintenance advice applies to our rectangular and hexagonal tomettes, made with the same artisanal know-how.
