1934
The First Steps
Driven by a bold vision, Louis Eberhart buys his first truck to transport construction materials in Woustviller, in Moselle.
One of the components of these materials was building stone.
Struggling to source supplies during the post-war period, he purchased a Vosges Sandstone quarry.
This strategic decision guaranteed a supply of building stones and marked the beginning of the company's involvement in the natural stone sector.
1951
The Origins of Decorative Stone
His two sons, Louis and Marcel, take over the business.
The material transport and storage company expands to become increasingly specialized in natural stone.
Faced with growing demand for ornamental stone, the two brothers revitalize the Vosges sandstone quarry in Machwiller, Alsace.
They also establish a cutting workshop and stone masonry shop specializing in the creation of decorative elements: window sills, stairs, low walls, fireplaces, etc.
1974
Global perspective
The choice of stones expanded considerably with the gradual arrival of products from all corners of the world, through pioneering Belgian and Dutch importers.
Quartzite, porphyry, and granite enriched an already diverse range, propelling the company onto an international stage.
1990
Launch of a marble workshop
The two brothers, Jean-Marc and Frédéric Eberhart, representatives of the 3rd generation, take over and modernize the company.
Almost all products are imported directly, without intermediaries.
A well-equipped marble workshop is added to the stone cutting workshop, capable of transforming marble, granite, and other hard stones to measure.
By constantly expanding its product range, the company gradually becomes one of the leaders in the natural stone market in France.
2003
Burgundy stone
The company is taking over and modernizing one of the oldest Burgundy Stone production plants, a true flagship of French expertise.
Thanks to investments in quarries, production units, and latest-generation digital machinery, it is expanding into the entire French market, European markets, and the west coast of the United States, where this renowned natural stone is particularly sought after.
2013
Birth of the Minéral brand
By mastering extraction, manufacturing, logistics, and import-export, the company decided to launch its own specialized retail outlets.
There, it presents a wide selection of natural stones innovatively staged in multiple indoor and outdoor settings.
The objective has been clear from the beginning: to move beyond being a mere reseller and become a true creator, capable of offering exclusive and unique products, crafted from start to finish with carefully selected partners.
2016
Opening of the first Minéral showroom abroad
Due to its proximity to the German border, the company has historically had a large German customer base.
It is therefore quite natural for Minéral to expand beyond the Rhine by opening an office in Saarwellingen, in the Saarland region.
