Description

The BLACK AZUL stepping stone is a quartzitic slate, derived from metamorphic shale, renowned for its exceptional solidity and high weather resistance. Its dense, naturally non-slip structure makes it an ideal choice for securing and structuring outdoor pathways, even in humid environments.

Its dark and deep shade, punctuated by oxidized reflections depending on the pieces, gives it a mineral and lively appearance, which evolves over time. This natural oxidation, linked to the presence of iron oxides in the stone, enhances its character without compromising its quality. This is not a defect, but a natural transformation that contributes to its aesthetic.

A material designed for landscaped gardens

The BLACK AZUL shale stepping stone integrates perfectly into many settings:

Zen or Japanese garden: placed on a bed of light gravel or among plants, it evokes traditional compositions mixing rock, water, and vegetation.
Natural or contemporary spaces: its irregular shape and raw appearance bring spontaneity to landscaping projects.

It can be used alone or in combination with other natural materials such as pebbles, gravels, or stone slabs to create gentle and aesthetic pathways, without visual disruption.

📌 Please note : Black Azul Slate is a natural slate that can contain ferruginous veins. Exposed to humidity and air, the stone may develop an oxidized patina over time (brown-orange hues). This phenomenon is natural, random depending on the pieces, and is part of the material's authentic character. This is not a defect and does not alter the stone's resistance or durability.

These natural differences enhance the authenticity of the project and require careful installation to harmonize the shades across the entire surface. It is important to emphasize that for products with strong color variations, only a larger order quantity allows for effective sorting during installation.

Marked texture (3/4)

The perceptible reliefs between the elements add character to the covering by creating a varied texture. For a harmonious rendering, it is advisable to distribute the pieces well during installation. These materials, often resulting from mechanical manufacturing with some variation, present a slightly textured surface and edges. It is recommended to use slightly wider joints, between 5 mm and 10 mm depending on the stone, to ensure an optimal fit.

Variable size and thickness (3/4)

The differences between the elements are more pronounced (size and thickness +/- 2 mm), which gives an artisanal and authentic effect. Installation requires adjustments.

Estimated delivery times: less than 30 kg: within 7 business days; pallet orders: generally within 2 to 3 business weeks.

For pallet deliveries, the carrier will contact you to arrange an appointment. The goods will be unloaded at ground level, at the closest point accessible to the truck, using a tail lift or a forklift depending on the weight of the order.

The delivery location must be accessible to a heavy goods vehicle and have a hard, flat, and clear unloading area.

Returns: You have 14 days to change your mind about unused and uninstalled products. Return costs are at your expense. Custom-made or customized products cannot be returned.
