ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT WHITE STONES

White pebbles, decorative stones and gravel, ideal for gardens and wine-growing areas. Available in 25 kg bags, big bags or bulk. Stock and fast delivery throughout France. Take advantage of our exclusive offers and advice for successful landscaping.

The white stone has become a must-have in landscaping projects, whether a private garden, a winery château courtyard or a decorative public space. Thanks to its light color, it reflects light, creates contrast with plantings and brings a natural and elegant atmosphere.

At Minéral, we offer carefully selected decorative white stones in crushed gravel or rounded pebble, suited to the following uses:

  • Mineral mulching for your flower beds.
  • Filling of planters or containers.
  • Decorative borders around lawns, terraces, arches or pools.
  • Finishing of pedestrian paths or driveways, with or without stabilizer.
  • Staging around a palm tree, olive tree or vine in the south or around Bordeaux.

👉 Their thickness (between 3 and 5 cm depending on grain size) allows good drainage, prevents weeds and visually structures your green spaces.

We support you in all your decorative landscaping projects for gardens, châteaux, with recognized expertise in mineral products. Immediate availability, permanently in stock: delivery across France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany or in-store pickup.

The main difference lies in the shape and origin of the material:

  • White gravel (such as Carrara or limestone) is crushed: it has angular edges that make it stable, ideal for paths, driveways or pedestrian areas.
  • White pebbles (e.g. tumbled ICE BLUE) are naturally or mechanically rounded. They are often used as decorative mulch, in zen areas, at the edge of ponds or around the centrepieces of the garden.

White stone is a generic term covering both pebbles and gravel. It can refer to a decorative product, a filling grit, or a more or less rounded landscaping stone.

At Minéral, all our products are classified by rock type, size, shape and packaging (bag, big bag, loose) to make buying online easier.

The choice of grain size, i.e. the size of the white stones, is decisive in ensuring an attractive result and good durability over time.

For a fine mulch around flowers or in flower beds, favour white gravel with a grain size of 6 to 14 mm, such as light limestone, which brings lightness and elegance without weighing down the plantings.

To lay out pedestrian paths, patios or house entrances, Carrara white gravel or Ice Blue in 8 to 12 mm is ideal: these stones offer a stable surface and a neat decorative appearance.

If you want a bolder effect or to decorate a terrace or a garden, opt for white rolled pebbles, such as Carrara 15/25 mm, which pair perfectly with elements in wood, slate or marble.

For larger areas, around trees, decorative arches or for a zen atmosphere, a size of 25 to 40 mm, or even 30 to 50 mm, is recommended. These Ice Blue pebbles bring a natural texture and a subtle contrast with red or black stones.

Finally, to create rock gardens, drainage areas or to showcase a high-end landscaping project, pebbles and gravel of 40 to 60 mm, or even up to 50 to 70 mm, are perfect.

All these products are available in stock in our Minéral branches, in 25 kg bags, 1 m³ big bags, or in bulk, with fast delivery across France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. Our team is also at your disposal to advise you on the best grain size depending on the surface and the intended use. Our expertise is based on the analysis of thousands of projects carried out with products of various grain sizes, to guarantee the right choice according to thickness, use and space, whether around an arch, a flower bed or a château.

The laying of white pebbles requires a minimum of preparation to ensure a beautiful finish and optimal hold over time.

Start with a proper excavation of the ground, removing weeds and leveling the surface. Laying a geotextile fabric is strongly recommended: it limits the growth of weeds and stabilizes the gravel or pebbles, thus making maintenance easier.

For laying, spread your pebbles from bags or big bags to a thickness of 3 to 5 cm depending on the grain size and the use (mulching, path, decoration). A light compaction with a roller or a mechanical sweeper can be carried out to fix the materials.

Thickness is key: too thin, it does not protect the ground; too thick, it can become unstable. We advise following our technical guides based on more than 5,000 projects supported.

Our teams can provide you with a detailed installation guide, and our products such as Carrara white gravel or Ice Blue pebbles have excellent hold, even in areas exposed to bad weather.

The white pebbles, particularly the varieties in Carrara marble or Ice Blue stone, are highly sought after for their aesthetic qualities and their versatility in outdoor decoration. Their light, luminous color brings an impression of purity and space, enhancing your landscaping.

These decorative stones are ideal for creating harmonious contrasts with darker materials such as black slate or red granite. They combine perfectly with wood for a natural or zen style.

As mulch, the white pebbles protect the soil while providing an elegant visual effect around plants and flowers. Their rounded shape also limits movement on pedestrian surfaces, bringing comfort and safety.

They are used in prestigious projects such as gardens of wine châteaux in Bordeaux or starry modern terraces, proving their adaptability and their success with professionals and demanding private customers.

White pebbles can get dirty over time due to dust, leaves or natural deposits. Simple maintenance ensures they always look immaculate. Regular sweeping or the use of a leaf blower easily removes surface dirt.

A rinse with clean water revives the natural colour, especially for marble pebbles or Carrara stone. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the surface and dull the white colour.

Laying a geotextile membrane during installation limits the rooting of weeds and makes maintenance much easier.

Thanks to their natural resistance to UV and bad weather, our products retain their quality even outdoors, around pools, or in exposed environments such as Bordeaux wine estates.

At Minéral, we have a significant permanent stock of white pebbles and decorative gravels. Our products are available in 25 kg bags, in big bags (1 m³), or loose to meet all your needs, whether small or very large.

We provide fast delivery across France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany, particularly in the Bordeaux wine regions, Saint-Talbot, Château Margaux, and surrounding areas, in connection with landscaping projects for gardens or prestigious estates.

An in-store pickup is also possible at our stores and partner depots, for those who prefer to collect their orders. Our customer service is available to advise you on availability, product selection, the best offers, and custom blends according to your projects (red gravels, black gravels…).
