Bathroom with a river pebble basin in Schiltigheim

The project

In a 1970s flat in Schiltigheim, the owners were fully redoing a bathroom of about 6 m². They wanted a simple, warm room with one standout natural stone piece.

The choices

In store, they chose a medium-size river pebble basin. Each pebble is different: shape, veining and colour vary from one piece to the next, and they were able to see the available basins before deciding.

The basin sits on an oak top, with a wall-mounted mixer to keep the top clear.

Installation

A local plumber and tiler carried out the work in about two weeks. The basin was collected free of charge from the Bischheim store.

The result

The pebble basin gives character to a plain bathroom. For upkeep, a mild cleaner suited to natural stone is enough; avoid acidic products.
